Chapman Oulsnam Speirs Limited is an award winning Architecture and Engineering consultancy based
in New Plymouth, New Zealand. Today's practice has evolved from an engineering consultancy established by director John Chapman in 1981. During the ensuing period the practice has progressively added new specialist areas and partners to broaden its expertise base and provide a full range of services to its clients.
Our disciplines include Architecture, Interior Design, Fire Design, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering and Project Management. A wide variety of projects are undertaken throughout New Zealand and overseas including Agricultural, Commercial, Civil, Education, Hospitality, Industrial, Petrochemical, Sports and leisure, and Residential projects.
As a multidisciplinary design consultancy our Architects and Engineers have the advantage of working together under one roof, creating an efficient collaborative design environment.
A key strength of the practice is its staff; we have a dedicated team of experienced design professionals, technical and administrative staff. Over the years the practice has maintained a low staff turnover, with many of its senior staff having been with the practice for ten years or more. This has ensured stability and has created a wealth of collective knowledge and experience within the practice.
The practice is committed to embracing new design technologies in an effort to continually improve design, performance and delivery of our services. Today many of our projects are developed using computer generated 3D design, visualisation and analysis software. This approach allows us to thoroughly explore design options and allows our clients to easily visualize their projects and confidently make decisions before construction commences.
Chapman Oulsnam Speirs Limited offers a full range of Architectural and Engineering services from initial feasibility studies, master planning, concept development, through to complete tender and construction documentation, permitting, contract administration and supervision, and handover.
